Target Audience
This activity is designed for community-based pediatricians, family medicine clinicians, and other healthcare professionals interested in providing care to youth patients who are at risk for suicide.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Recognize system changes supporting suicide prevention in youth;
- Recite steps for a comprehensive adolescent exam that screens for mental health;
- Define population-specific epidemiology of suicidal ideation in youth;
- Analyze the utilization of the Echo model for suicide improvement;
- Outline the components of the Zero-Suicide Model and its application in Chicago;
- Interpret the interaction of adolescents' development with families.
